Athletics Director - Joe Carollo

Meet Mr. Carollo

Mr. Joseph Carollo serves as the Supervisor of Physical Education, Health & Family Life and Director of Athletics for the Tenafly Public Schools. In these roles, he oversees the Physical Education, Health, and Family Life programs at Tenafly High School while providing leadership and direction for the district's comprehensive interscholastic athletic programs.

Prior to joining the Tenafly School District, Mr. Carollo gained valuable educational and administrative experience in the New Providence, Verona, and Wallington School Districts. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field by fostering an environment built on sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, integrity, and academic excellence.

Mr. Carollo earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Secondary Education from Albright College and his Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Montclair State University.

In addition to his responsibilities within the Tenafly School District, Mr. Carollo is an active leader in several local and statewide athletic organizations. His professional leadership roles include:

    • Divisional Head – Ivy White Division
    • Committee Member – New York Jets Youth Clinic
    • Girls Flag Football Divisional Chair – Patriot White Division

Through his leadership at both the district and conference levels, Mr. Carollo is dedicated to advancing educational athletics, promoting sportsmanship, and creating outstanding opportunities for student-athletes throughout Tenafly and New Jersey.
