The Student Support Service department at Tenafly High School is dedicated to assisting students as they navigate the academic and social-emotional challenges they may experience during their high school tenure. Working in conjunction with traditional School Counselors and Child Study Team members, Dr. Enrico and Mr. Bandfield identify and work to address current mental health trends and provide varying levels of support to students as needed.

School-Based Resources

Clinical Support

Dr. Enrico and Mr. Bandfield are available upon referral to work with students one-on-one to tackle a myriad of issues a student might face. This may include but not limited to: mental health counseling, executive functioning/organizational help and social skills support.

Support Groups

Therapeutic groups highlight the universality of contemporary issues that our youth face and in doing so, students can address their own challenges by collaborating with others who may experience the same struggles. Group offerings at THS include (this is not an exhaustive list):

1. Executive Functioning Support
2. Transitioning to Tenafly High School (for 9th graders and transfer students of all ages)

4. Girls' Group
5. Career Exploration
