If a student is denied their appeal(s), they have an option to override this decision for ONE (1) class only. If a student wants to exercise this option, they will need to obtain a physical Override Form from the Director of School Counseling directly. These forms are due back to Guidance no later than April 4, 2025 at 3:00PM.
Please keep the following in mind when making a decision to override a teacher and supervisor recommendation:
1. Course content and pace may be too rigorous and inappropriate. Students should not expect extra help or accommodations from the teacher that exceeds that of others students.
2. If a level change is made based on poor academic performance, the grade will follow to the new course and be incorporated into the term, semester and final grade (grades from the previous level class are not adjusted for level).
3. It may be impossible to change levels due to schedule or space limitations. Students may have to remain in the overridden course for the duration of the year, despite poor academic performance.
