Music courses satisfy the THS Visual and Performing Arts requirement. In special circumstances with administrative approval, music courses may be taken as a semester course.

Students taking a music course, or who have the consent of the instructor, may join one of the several music groups offered at Tenafly High School. These non-credit groups and clubs do appear on the student's permanent record. The clubs include:
